Turn It Around
Every difficult hour has a way out of it. Here's the next minute, and what to change before tomorrow.
Pick what's happening and you'll get the next minute first — then what to work backwards through so it happens less, then how the traditions honestly differ. No single right answer, because there isn't one. Most days turn around faster than you'd think.
How to use these
- Read only the top of the page in the moment. The rest will keep until everyone is calm.
- The "work backwards" section is the one that changes things for good. Most of what helps happened hours earlier — sleep, food, how long they'd been holding it together, how the house felt.
- The traditions genuinely disagree. Take the one that fits your child and your household, and ignore the rest without guilt.
- Change one thing at a time, and give it a week. That's usually all it takes to see whether it was the thing.
